A critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the D-Link DIR-619L router, specifically in the 2.06B01 firmware version. The issue arises in the 'formSetWAN_Wizard51' function, where the 'curTime' argument can be manipulated, leading to arbitrary code execution. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely and affects a product that is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for a stack-based buffer overflow, which could be used to execute arbitrary code on the device.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a crafted request to the '/goform/formSetWAN_Wizard51' endpoint, manipulating the 'curTime' parameter with an excessively long input. This input overflowes the stack buffer, creating the potential to execute arbitrary code.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
