Taeggie Feed WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Taeggie Feed plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 0.1.10. The issue arises in the plugin's taeggie-feed shortcode, where the render() method improperly sanitizes the user-supplied name attribute. This attribute is directly injected into a <script> tag—both in the id attribute and within jQuery.getScript()—without adequate escaping. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which will execute when users access the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

No known patch is available. Users are advised to review the vulnerability details and consider uninstalling the affected plugin.
