A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WeGIA application, prior to version 3.5.1. The issue occurs in the 'editar_info_pessoal.php' endpoint, where the application fails to properly validate and sanitize user inputs in the 'action' parameter. This oversight allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser. The vulnerability can be exploited by sending a crafted request to the endpoint with a malicious payload in the 'action' parameter, which is then reflected back and executed.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser.
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a GET request to the 'editar_info_pessoal.php' endpoint with a malicious payload in the 'action' parameter. The injected script will be reflected back in the response and executed in the user's browser.
Users can upgrade to WeGIA version 3.5.1, which addresses this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
