A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the view order page of Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML by exploiting an Account's 'Name' text field. The issue is present in Liferay Portal versions 7.4.3.8 through 7.4.3.111, as well as in Liferay DXP versions 2023.Q4.0 through 2023.Q4.5, 2023.Q3.1 through 2023.Q3.8, and 7.4 update 8 through update 92.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the order.
Users can upgrade to Liferay DXP 2024.Q1.1, 2023.Q4.6, 2023.Q3.9 or Liferay Portal 7.4.3.112 to address this vulnerability.
