Adobe Animate Heap-Based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Allowing Arbitrary Code Execution

A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in Adobe Animate versions 23.0.13, 24.0.10 and earlier. This vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to Adobe Animate 2023 version 23.0.15 or Adobe Animate 2024 version 24.0.12. For managed environments, IT administrators can use the Admin Console to deploy Creative Cloud applications to end users.
