A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Wikimedia Foundation's VisualEditor. This issue arises from improper input neutralization during web page generation, specifically in the ClipboardHandler component. The vulnerability affects VisualEditor versions prior to 1.39.14, as well as versions 1.43.4 and 1.44.1.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
