Chanjet CRM SQL Injection Vulnerability in Department Setting File

Vulnerability

A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Chanjet CRM version 1.0. The issue resides in the file '/sysconfig/departmentsetting.php', where the 'gblOrgID' parameter is manipulated to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely without any authentication, allowing attackers to gain unauthorized access to the database, modify or delete data, and access sensitive information.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for unauthorized database access through SQL injection, enabling attackers to manipulate database queries and potentially access, modify, or delete sensitive data.

Reproduction

The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a request to 'sysconfig/departmentsetting.php' with the 'gblOrgID' parameter. The injected SQL payload can be crafted to exploit the SQL injection vulnerability, such as by using SQL injection techniques to extract database information or manipulate database contents. This can be done using tools like sqlmap, which automates the process of finding and exploiting SQL injection vulnerabilities.

Remediation

It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
