Microsoft Windows RRAS Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A vulnerability allowing untrusted pointer dereference in the Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) has been identified. This flaw enables an authorized attacker to locally elevate privileges. The vulnerability affects multiple versions of Windows Server, including 2022, 2019, 2016, and 2025, as well as Windows Server 2022 (Server Core installation) and Windows Server 2025 (Server Core installation).

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation, allowing an attacker to gain SYSTEM privileges.
