GroupSession Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in GroupSession Free edition versions prior to 5.3.0, GroupSession byCloud versions prior to 5.3.3, and GroupSession ZION versions prior to 5.3.2. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary scripts in the web browser of a user who accesses a crafted page or URL.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can execute arbitrary scripts in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to update GroupSession to the latest version. The latest version of GroupSession Free edition can be downloaded from the GroupSession website. GroupSession byCloud has already been updated. For GroupSession ZION, users should also update to the latest version.
