WeGIA Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in insere_despacho.php Endpoint

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WeGIA application, prior to version 3.4.7. The issue occurs in the insere_despacho.php endpoint, where the application fails to properly validate and sanitize user inputs in the 'sccs' parameter. This lack of validation allows attackers to inject malicious scripts, which are then executed in the context of the user's browser.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, send a GET request to the '/html/memorando/insere_despacho.php' endpoint with a payload injected into the 'sccs' parameter. The injected script will be reflected back in the response and executed in the browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to WeGIA version 3.4.7 or later.
