A heap overflow vulnerability has been identified in multiple processors by Samsung, including the Exynos 980, 990, 850, 2100, 1280, 2200, 1330, 1380, 1480, 2400, 1580, 2500, W920, W930, W1000, as well as Modems 5123, 5300, and 5400. The issue arises in the NAS component, where the function responsible for sending messages with multiple payloads, including SMS, fails to perform proper bounds checking. This lack of validation can be exploited to cause a heap overflow.
Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a heap overflow, which can commonly be used to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
