LTL Freight Quotes WordPress Plugins Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
Stored cross-site scripting vulnerabilities have been identified in the LTL Freight Quotes – Freightview Edition, LTL Freight Quotes – Daylight Edition, and LTL Freight Quotes – Day & Ross Edition plugins for WordPress. These vulnerabilities affect all versions prior to and including 1.0.11, 2.2.6, and 2.1.10, respectively. The issues arise from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. The injected scripts are executed when users access the compromised pages.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Remediation
Users can update to version 1.0.12 for the Freightview Edition, 2.2.7 for the Daylight Edition, and 2.1.11 for the Day & Ross Edition.
