DNN.Platform Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in TokenReplace with SkinObjects

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in DNN.Platform versions 6.0.0 prior to 10.0.1. This issue arises within the TokenReplace functionality, where specially crafted content in URLs is not properly sanitized by certain SkinObjects, allowing for the injection of malicious scripts.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to DNN.Platform version 10.0.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
