DNN.Platform Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Activity Feed Attachments Endpoint

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in DNN.Platform versions 6.0.0 prior to 10.0.1. This issue allows a specially crafted request to inject scripts into the Activity Feed Attachments endpoint, where the injected scripts are subsequently rendered in the feed.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the Activity Feed.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to DNN.Platform version 10.0.1 or later to address this vulnerability.
