A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Pixelimity version 1.0. The issue arises in the installation component, specifically within the file '/install/index.php'. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to manipulate the 'site_description' parameter, leading to unauthorized execution of SQL statements. This exploitation is possible without any input validation on the parameter.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, where an attacker can interfere with the application's database queries. This could lead to unauthorized data access, data manipulation, or in some cases, executing administrative operations on the database.
To reproduce this vulnerability, access the '/install/index.php' file and send a POST request with a crafted 'site_description' parameter. The payload should include SQL commands that exploit the application's SQL query handling. After sending the request, the injected SQL commands will be executed, demonstrating the successful exploitation of the vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
