A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Firelight Lightbox WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 2.3.16. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize and escape title attributes before displaying them on the page. This flaw enables users with a minimum role of contributor to execute stored cross-site scripting attacks.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the content.
