Relevanssi WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Relevanssi – A Better Search plugin for WordPress. This issue affects all versions through 4.24.5 (Free) and 2.27.6 (Premium). The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts into pages. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the compromised page.

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to Relevanssi version 4.24.6 (Free) or 2.27.7 (Premium) to address this vulnerability.
