BSK PDF Manager Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability via SVG File Upload

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the BSK PDF Manager plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.7.1. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Administrator-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts execute when a user accesses the uploaded SVG file. This vulnerability is present in multi-site installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed when users access the affected SVG files.

Remediation

Users can update to BSK PDF Manager version 3.7.2 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
