A local file inclusion vulnerability has been identified in the Thembay Hara WordPress theme, affecting versions through 1.2.10. This vulnerability arises from improper control of filenames in include or require statements, allowing PHP remote file inclusion.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized inclusion of local files on the server, potentially allowing access to sensitive information such as database credentials. Depending on the server configuration, this could result in a complete takeover of the database.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Thembay Hara WordPress theme to version 1.2.11 or later. Patchstack has also issued a virtual patch to mitigate this vulnerability until users can update.
