Drupal etracker Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the Drupal etracker module, affecting versions prior to 3.1.0. The issue arises because the module's cookies_etracker submodule does not properly validate whether the included inline JavaScript comes from authorized users. This flaw allows for the injection of malicious scripts, which could be executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to etracker version 8.x-3.1.
