miniOrange Discord Integration Local File Inclusion Vulnerability

A local file inclusion vulnerability has been identified in the miniOrange Discord Integration plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 2.2.2. This vulnerability arises from improper control of filenames in include or require statements, allowing PHP remote file inclusion that could be exploited to access local files on the server.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a malicious actor to include local files from the server and display their contents. This could potentially lead to a complete takeover of the database, depending on the site's configuration.

Remediation

Users are advised to update to a version of the miniOrange Discord Integration plugin that is later than 2.2.2. Patchstack has also issued a virtual patch to block attacks targeting this vulnerability.
