Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipsets LTE RLC Packet Processing Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in various chipsets of Qualcomm Snapdragon products. This issue arises when an LTE Radio Link Control (RLC) packet containing an invalid Transport Block (TB) is received by the User Equipment (UE), leading to a transient disruption of service.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability causes a temporary denial-of-service condition, disrupting normal operations by causing the device to become unresponsive or unavailable for a period of time.

Remediation

Qualcomm has notified device manufacturers about this vulnerability and recommended that they deploy patches on released devices as soon as possible. For information on the patching status, please contact the device manufacturer.
