A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Campcodes Sales and Inventory System version 1.0. The issue resides in the '/pages/customer_add.php' file, where the 'last' parameter is manipulated to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, potentially affecting other parameters as well.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows unauthorized access to the database, manipulation of data, leakage of sensitive information, and could disrupt services, posing a significant risk to system security and business operations.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a POST request to '/pages/customer_add.php' with crafted payloads in the 'last' parameter. This can be done using tools like sqlmap, which automates the process of finding and exploiting SQL injection vulnerabilities.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
