BlockSpare WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the BlockSpare WordPress plugin, specifically in the Image Carousel and Image Slider widgets. This issue affects all versions of the plugin up to and including 3.2.13.1. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts are executed when a user views the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the BlockSpare WordPress plugin to version 3.2.13.2 or a newer patched version.
