Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP ERC Enumeration Vulnerability via Time Response Analysis

Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in Liferay Portal versions 7.4.0 to 7.4.3.128 and in Liferay DXP versions 2024.Q3.0 to 2024.Q3.1, 2024.Q2.0 to 2024.Q2.13, 2024.Q1.1 to 2024.Q1.12, 2023.Q4.0, and 7.4 GA through update 92. This vulnerability allows attackers to enumerate existing Entity Relationship Cards (ERC) in the application by exploiting variations in the application's response time.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized enumeration of ERCs, potentially allowing attackers to gather information about the application's data relationships and structure.

Remediation
