Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Liferay Portal version 7.4.3.132 and Liferay DXP versions 2025.Q1.0 through 2025.Q1.17. This vulnerability allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript into the Style Book theme name, which is then executed in the user's browser.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected JavaScript is executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users of Liferay Portal can upgrade to the latest version available on the master branch. Liferay DXP users should upgrade to version 2025.Q2.0.
