A vulnerability allowing access of uninitialized pointers has been identified in Adobe InDesign Desktop versions 19.5.3 and earlier. This vulnerability could lead to arbitrary code execution within the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in arbitrary code execution on the affected system, allowing an attacker to execute malicious code with the privileges of the current user.
Users can update to Adobe InDesign versions 19.5.4 or 20.4. For managed environments, IT administrators can use the Creative Cloud Packager to create deployment packages.
