A stored authenticated cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in appRain CMF version 4.0.5. This issue arises from inadequate validation of user input, allowing malicious scripts to be injected and stored via several parameters, including 'data[code]', 'data[lang][0][key]', 'data[lang][0][value]', 'data[lang][1][key]', and 'data[title]', within the '/apprain/developer/language/default.xml' endpoint.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user.
