Siemens SINEC Traffic Analyzer Man-in-the-Middle Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in SINEC Traffic Analyzer (6GK8822-1BG01-0BA0) in all versions, where the application’s monitoring interface does not remain entirely passive. This flaw could enable an attacker to engage with the interface, potentially facilitating man-in-the-middle attacks.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to man-in-the-middle attacks, allowing an attacker to intercept or manipulate communications.

Remediation

Siemens has released a new version of SINEC Traffic Analyzer and recommends updating to the latest version. For products where fixes are not yet available, Siemens advises following general security recommendations and protecting network access with appropriate measures.
