A null pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's AMDGPU debug filesystem capabilities. This issue arises because the HUBBUB structure is not properly initialized on DCE hardware, leading to a potential null dereference when accessing the amdgpu_dm_capabilities file in debugfs. The vulnerability has been addressed by adding a check to ensure the HUBBUB structure is not NULL before accessing it.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a null pointer dereference, causing a crash or undefined behavior in the kernel.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
