Jupiter X Core WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Jupiter X Core plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 4.8.12. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages. These scripts execute when a user accesses a page containing the compromised SVG file.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to Jupiter X Core version 4.9.1 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
