Linux Kernel Out-of-Bounds Memory Read Vulnerability in cs_dsp KUnit Test

Vulnerability

A vulnerability allowing out-of-bounds memory read access has been identified in the Linux kernel's KUnit test for cs_dsp. This issue arises in the function cs_dsp_mock_wmfw_add_info(), where the length of the source string was improperly rounded, leading to a memory access violation. The Kernel Address Sanitizer (KASAN) reported this out-of-bounds access.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized memory access, potentially allowing for information disclosure or manipulation of memory contents.
