A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMD display driver component can lead to a divide-by-zero error. This issue arises because dummy values in the 'populate_dummy_dml_surface_cfg()' function are not properly updated, allowing downstream functions like 'CalculateVMAndRowBytes()' to encounter a divide-by-zero scenario. The vulnerability has been addressed by initializing the dummy pitch value to one, preventing the arithmetic error.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could cause a divide-by-zero error, potentially leading to a denial-of-service condition by causing a system crash or similar disruption.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
