A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-bufio component allows for improper scheduling in atomic context, which can lead to system instability. This issue was identified when CONFIG_DEBUG_ATOMIC_SLEEP and try_verify_in_tasklet are enabled. The vulnerability causes a kernel BUG by allowing a sleeping function to be called from an invalid context, disrupting normal operations.
Exploitation of this vulnerability causes a kernel BUG, leading to a system crash or instability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
