Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in Radio Button Custom Fields

Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Liferay Portal versions 7.2.0 through 7.4.3.129, as well as in several releases of Liferay DXP 2024 and 2023. This vulnerability allows remote authenticated attackers to inject malicious JavaScript into pages via radio button type custom fields.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Liferay Portal 7.4.3.132 or Liferay DXP 2024.Q1.13, 2024.Q3.10 or 2025.Q1.0 to address this vulnerability.
