Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows, prior to version 23.160. This issue arises from an out-of-bounds write within the device drivers, which may be exploited by an unprivileged software adversary with an unauthenticated user. The vulnerability can potentially be triggered through adjacent access, without special internal knowledge, and requires no user interaction. The flaw may disrupt the availability of the affected system, leading to significant operational impacts.
