- <= 2.1.3.6
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the 3DPrint Lite plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.1.3.6. The vulnerability arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'coating_text' parameter, coupled with a lack of proper preparation in the SQL query. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject additional SQL commands into existing queries, potentially leading to the extraction of sensitive information from the database.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, where attackers can manipulate database queries to access or modify sensitive information.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with admin privileges can send a request to the WordPress admin panel, specifically targeting the 3DPrint Lite plugin's coatings section. The 'coating_text' parameter can be manipulated to include malicious SQL code, which will be executed by the database. This can be done by adding a nonce to the request for authentication.
Users are advised to update the 3DPrint Lite WordPress plugin to version 2.1.3.7 or later.
