D-Link Nuclias Connect Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in D-Link Nuclias Connect firmware versions through 1.3.1.4. This vulnerability arises from inadequate sanitization of the 'Network' field when users edit configurations, create profiles, or add networks. An authenticated attacker could exploit this issue by injecting arbitrary JavaScript, which would be executed in the context of other users viewing the affected profile.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the profile.

Remediation

D-Link has acknowledged this vulnerability and stated that a fix is under development. Users are advised to update to version 1.3.1.4 Beta, available through the D-Link Nuclias Connect support page.
