A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Suricata package for pfSense CE. The issue arises in the file 'suricata_flow_stream.php', where the 'policy_name' parameter is not properly sanitized before being displayed. This vulnerability requires authentication and at least 'WebCfg - Services: suricata package' permissions to exploit.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user.
Users can update to the latest version of the pfSense Suricata package, which has been patched and is available for pfSense CE 2.8.1, CE 2.8.0, Plus 25.07.1, and Plus 25.07.
