HGiga PowerStation Chroot Escape Vulnerability in SSH Service

Vulnerability

A chroot escape vulnerability has been identified in the SSH service of HGiga PowerStation, affecting firmware versions prior to x64.6.2.213. This vulnerability allows attackers with root privileges to bypass chroot restrictions and access the entire file system.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access to the complete file system, bypassing chroot restrictions.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the firmware to version x64.6.2.213 or later and then reboot the PowerStation.
