A vulnerability has been identified in the NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows, specifically within the kernel mode layer (nvlddmkm.sys). This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause an integer overflow, which could be exploited to execute code, escalate privileges, tamper with data, cause a denial of service, or disclose information. The vulnerability affects all driver versions prior to 591.59 on the R590 branch, as well as earlier versions on the R580, R570, and R535 branches.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to code execution, privilege escalation, data tampering, denial of service, or information disclosure.
Users can download and install the updated driver version 591.59 from the NVIDIA Driver Downloads page. For vGPU software, the update is available through the NVIDIA Licensing Portal.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
