A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in PHPGurukul e-Diary Management System version 1.0. The issue resides in the login.php file, where the logindetail parameter is manipulated to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, without any authentication, allowing attackers to gain unauthorized access to the database, modify or delete data, and access sensitive information.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for unauthorized database access, manipulation of data, and disruption of service.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a POST request to the login.php file with the logindetail parameter. Various payloads can be used to exploit the SQL injection, such as boolean-based blind, error-based, and time-based blind injection techniques. The SQLmap tool can automate this exploitation.
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
