A critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Tenda AC10 router, specifically in the firmware version 16.03.10.13. The issue arises in the ShutdownSetAdd function within the file /goform/ShutdownSetAdd. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely by sending specially crafted requests that manipulate the argument list, leading to a stack overflow. This overflow can cause the router to crash or disrupt its services.
Exploitation of this vulnerability causes a stack-based buffer overflow, which can lead to arbitrary code execution or a denial-of-service condition by crashing the device or disrupting its normal functions.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
