Apple Xcode Privacy Preference Bypass Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A permissions vulnerability allowing apps to bypass Privacy preferences has been identified in Apple Xcode. This issue affects the Playgrounds component of Xcode and is present in versions prior to 16.3. The vulnerability arises from inadequate checks, which may enable a malicious app to access private information.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Xcode 16.3 to address this vulnerability. Xcode 16.3 is available for macOS Sequoia 15.2 and later.
