LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the LA-Studio Element Kit for Elementor plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.4.9. The issue arises in the Table of Contents widget, where inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes allow authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the plugin to version 1.5.0 or later.
