A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Project Manager plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.6.22. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in task discussions, allowing authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to upload SVG files containing malicious scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the SVG file.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the SVG file.
Users can update to WP Project Manager version 2.6.23 or later to address this vulnerability.
