A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Elementor Website Builder Pro plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.29.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts are executed when users access the compromised pages.

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to Elementor Pro version 3.29.1 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
