A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin, specifically in the Custom Registration Forms, User Registration, Payment, and User Login component. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 6.0.4.3. It arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the compromised page.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with Subscriber-level access or higher can inject scripts via the 'payment_method' parameter. This can be done by submitting a form that includes this parameter, which will then execute the injected script when the form is accessed.
Users are advised to update the RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin to version 6.0.4.4 or later.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
