A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Event Manager plugin for WordPress, specifically in versions through 3.1.50. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts would execute when a user accesses the compromised page.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users are advised to update the WP Event Manager plugin to version 3.1.51 or a newer patched version.
