WP Event Manager Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Event Manager plugin for WordPress, specifically in versions through 3.1.49. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with administrator-level access to inject arbitrary web scripts. The injected scripts execute when users access the affected pages. This vulnerability is present only in multi-site installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to version 3.1.50 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
